Maksym Pylypenko, MD, PhD, the Head of Anaesthesia and ICU department No 2 in the Romodanov Neurosurgery Institute, National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. Simultaneously working part-time as an Associate Professor of the Department of Surgery, Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy of postgraduate education of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets.

More than 160 scientific publications (15 in Eng) and more than 200 presentations at scientific conferences (20 in Eng) and participation in Ukrainian expert groups for clinical protocols developing for SHI, Spinal Trauma, Stroke, Nosocomial Pneumonia, Procedural Sedation, and Clinical Nutrition.

Experience in academic research and international multicentre clinical trials. Abroad fellowships in anaesthesia and ICU departments in Austria, the UK, France, Italy, China, Poland, and Germany.
