Prof. Dr. Zsolt Molnar is an anesthesiologist and intensive care therapist. He is the Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, Semmelweis University, Budapest. He is also the leader of the Critical Care Study Group at the Centre for Translational Medicine at the Semmelweis University. In parallel, he also holds a part-time professorship at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the Poznan University of Medical Sciences, Poznan, Poland.
His main research interests are: sepsis-related hemodynamic changes, fluid therapy, markers of inflammation, extracorporeal cytokine removal in hyperinflammation, oxygen debt and perioperative intensive care. Ha has delivered over 300 invited international lectures in the last 5 years. He has published more than 220 articles, with an Independent citation index of 6,995, a Hirsch index of 38, and is ranked as a D1 researcher in Medical Sciences in Hungary, with a total score of 101% (scientometrics.org, last updated: 18 March 2023).
