Dr. Zoltán Ruszkai is a specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive therapy, currently working as the Head of Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy and as the Deputy Medical Director at Flór Ferenc Hospital Kistarcsa, Hungary. His main research interests are: personalized mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic management, intraabdominal hypertension, and perioperative intensive care. He has become a member of the SepsEast initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic, and he was one of the founding members and regular lecturers on COVID-19 related webinars of the so called “Mentoral Network” in Hungary. He is the current President of the SepsEast Initiative. He has been a regular speaker on Hungarian and international conferences on critical, emergency, and perioperative care. In 2024, he has initiated the international Sepsis Treatment And Research Symposium (STAR), as a spin-off symposium of the SepsEast Conference.
